UUID Generator

What is a UUID (v4)?

A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a 128-bit label used for information in computer systems. Standard Version 4 UUIDs are compliant with RFC 4122 guidelines and are generated entirely from cryptographically secure random values.

Because v4 UUIDs contain 122 bits of raw entropy, the probability of generating a duplicate value is infinitesimally small. Even if you generate billions of IDs every second for the next century, the chance of a collision is practically zero.

Secure client-side generation

Many online UUID generators run server-side, logging the unique keys they issue to users. This generator relies entirely on your browser's native crypto.getRandomValues API, keeping your generated identifiers completely private.
